Architects Bosse and Wallisser of LAVA (Laboratory for Visionary Architecture Asia Pacific) just unveiled at the Cityscape property fair in Dubai Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower. The 59-storey skyscraper will has been built in collaboration with former Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher, and is described as “branded architecture’s next step”. Construction should start in 2009 and should end around June 2011.  

Dubai developers Nakheel just announced they are going to build a one kilometre high (3,280 feet) tower, the Nakheel Tower, beating the city state's own world record (with the the yet to be completed Burj Dubai, which reached a height of 688 metres (2,257 feet) last month and is still growing). The tower will be built in a whole new town that will cover 270 hectares. It is estimated the entire project will cost $95bn, of which $38.12bn will be for the tower alone. Nakheel has already built about $60bn worth of projects in Dubai. Nakheel Tower will have four individual towers within a single structure, which is very rare.

The Strata tower, a forty story, luxury residential building designed by Asymptote Architecture. It is currently being built at the incredible Al Raha Beach waterfront in Abu Dhabi and it should be completed by early 2011. It will be 160 meters high, making it the tallest building of the Al Dana precinct.  The Strata Tower has an "articulate, striking physical presence" that seeks to "encapsulate meaning through the use of abstract form drawn from both local cultural landscapes and motifs and dynamic forces of global influence".

The project of the Central Chinese Television CCTV headquarters in Beijing is currently under construction. It has an estimated construction cost of $600 million, and it should be completed in time for the Beijing Olympics this year. However, rumors annouce it will not be ready before summer 2009. The project is being executed by a combined Arup team from East Asia and Europe Divisions. Arup provides the engineering design services for the structure. It is a sub-consultant to the Office for Metroplitan Architecture (OMA) led by Rem Koolhaas, which was awarded the design contract at the end of 2002 after an international architectural design competition. The construction began in December 2004.

The Torre de Collserola (also called Torre Foster) is an amazing telecommunication tower at the top of the Tibidabo hill from the Collserola mountain range in Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by the famous architect Lord Norman Foster and built in 1992 for the Olympic Games. The top of the pod, which has thirteen floors, reaches 152m (499 ft), but the top of the antenna reaches 288.4m (946 ft). The tower consist of three parts a concrete shaft, whose diameter measures 4.5 meters a tubular steel mast of 38 meters length a 45-metre stretch of latticed steel, bringing the Tower to its full height,
