Rotating Skyscrapers Revealed
A new tower project has been revealed Tuesday June 24 in New York. This high-tech tower that be built in Dubai and Moscow will allow the people living in it to modify the orientation of their apartments, in order to change the view. This will allow them to follow the sun or see the whole city while they’re eating.
The project has been designed by the Italian architect David Fisher. In Dubai, it will have 80 floors made out of prebuilt modules that will have the ability to rotate around a vertical axis. It should be ready for 2010. The skyscraper from Moscow will “only” have 70 floors, but will work with the same principle.

I agree the image on the left us quite nice and impressive, but you will only get to see it like this once. As soon as the engines will start, the floors will get in a random position. Will it still be that nice then?
If when you read “rotating skyscraper” it seemed obvious how the rotation would be, than you need to check this post: Dubai’s Wheel.

Yeah you’re right, on the first pic you can see it’s all messed up. I’m sure the shadow from floors above will be a problem
