Las Vegas High Speed Maglev
The project of connecting Disneyland to Las Vegas with a High-Speed MagLev train (wikipedia) got 45 million dollars.
United States’ president Bush signed on Friday 6 July the transportation bill. “It will pay for environmental studies for the first leg of the project,” reports the AP.
This, of course, is an infinite part of what the maglev will cost if is ever gets built. This is only a first step, and we are far from seeing this futuristic levitating train getting built.
Actually, only China has an operating Maglev in Shangai, and it has cost… a lot.
